Gridlock is based on European 4 in 1, albeit every ring connection is inversed. Rows alternate between containing angled rings and staggered, stacked horizontal rings. Each successive angled ring in an angled ring row lies in the opposite direction to its predecessor. The rows containing horizontal rings which connect the angled ring rows give the weave a 'corduroy' look.
